I changed my usual baked donuts from pancake mix into a recipe using cake flour. I added baking powder and sugar and adjusted the milk to make this recipe.

Please adjust the amount of sugar, and the amount and variety of chocolate to taste.
While keeping in mind the size of the donut pan and the ingredients, watch the donuts as they bake and adjust the baking time as needed.
They become a little more moist if you let them sit for a day. Recipe by Hokkori-no

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 100 gramsCake flour
  2. 1 tspBaking powder
  3. 1Egg
  4. 2 tbspCocoa (Van Houten Pure Cocoa)
  5. 50 gramsSugar
  6. 4 tbspMilk
  7. 15 gramsButter
  8. 30 gramsChocolate (or chocolate chips)
  9. 1 dashVegetable oil (to coat the pan)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Use a knife to break up the chocolate, or you can break up a chocolate bar or use chocolate chips. Sift together the flour and baking powder.

  2. 2

In a bowl, combine the sifted dry ingredients and the egg, cocoa, sugar, and milk. Use a whisk to mix together.

  3. 3

Put the butter in a heatproof bowl and heat in the microwave at 600W for about 30 seconds to melt. Add to the batter from Step 2 and mix together.

  4. 4

Lightly oil the donut pan with oil and distribute half of the broken chocolate pieces into the donut molds. Mix the other half of the chocolate pieces with the batter from Step 3.

  5. 5

Spoon the batter into the donut molds. Using both hands, lift the donut pan up and drop back down onto a hard surface a few times to release any air bubbles. Smooth the surface of the batter.

  6. 6

Put the donut pan on a baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated to 170°C for about 15 minutes. Keep an eye on them as they cook.

  7. 7

Once baked, remove from the oven. Remove from the pan when cool.
