I made this as a gift when I visited a friend.

If you let it cool a little bit before straining it, rather than straining while it's piping hot, the bubbles will be easier to pop. Recipe by Sayafurosuki-

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 600 mlMilk
  2. 45 gramsSugar
  3. 2Egg yolks
  4. 5 gramsGelatin powder
  5. 2drops Vanilla extract

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Add the milk and sugar to a pot and mix with a whisk. Don't turn on the heat yet.

  2. 2

Add the egg yolks and mix them in. Turn on the heat. Right before it begins to boil, turn off the heat.

  3. 3

Sprinkle in the gelatin and mix to dissolve it well.

  4. 4

Add the vanilla extract and strain through a tea strainer as you pour the mixture into the pudding cups.

  5. 5

Once cooled, pop the bubbles on the surface with a toothpick. Let chill in the refrigerator! If you make these for a morning snack, I recommend topping with maple syrup.
