Ingredients

3 people
  • 3 cupspuffed rice
  • 1boiled potato (chopped)
  • 1finely chopped onion
  • 1-2green chili finely chopped (for jhal)
  • 4-5 tbspchanachur
  • 4-5 tbspdalmut (masala chana dal)
  • 4-5coconut flakes
  • 2-4 tspoil (aam tel)
  • pinchblack salt
  • 2-3 tbspfried peanuts (mumfali)
  • lemon
  • Jhal mudi Masala
  • 1 tspcumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 tspcoriander seeds (dhone)
  • 1/2 tspwhite pepper (sada morich)
  • 1/4 tspfennel seeds (mouri)
  • 1 tspdried mango powder
  • 1small cinnamon stick
  • 1tej patta
  • 1red chili

Steps

  1. 1

    Dry roast all the mudi masala for 1-1.5 min on low heat in pan then grind into a powder.

    Dry roast the puffed rice for 15-20 secs in a kadai. It will make the puffed rice more crispy.

  3. 3

    In a cylindrical shape dabba take puffed rice.
    Add the 3-4 tsp oil, 1 tsp mudi masala, Chanachur, Peanuts, Dalmut, green chili, coconut pcs, little black salt.
    Mix all the dry ingredients first.
    Add potato, Onion.
    Mix again and serve immediately in a paper packet (thonga).
