Ingredients

  1. 2 cup- rice
  2. 4- cloves
  3. 15- black pepper
  4. 1- small cinnamon stick
  5. 2- bay leaves
  6. 1- star flower
  7. 2- cardamom
  8. 1 inch- ginger
  9. 8 cup- water
  10. 1 tbs- oil
  11. 1/4 tsp- salt
  12. 2-3 tbs- ghee
  13. 10-15- cashews
  14. 1 tsp- cumin seeds
  15. 2-3- green chilli
  16. 1- carrot
  17. 1/3 cup- broccoli
  18. 1/4 cup- corn
  19. 1/2- lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Rinse the rice well and soaked in a water for 30 minutes.

    Add cloves, black pepper, star flower, tej patta, cinnamon stick and cardamom to the grinder jar and grind it coarsely.

    In same jar add ginger and again grind it. Now the fresh masala is ready.

    Heat the water in a pan on high flame. Add salt and oil. As it start boiling add soaked rice in water. Reduce heat to low.

    Add 1/2 lemon juice in it and stir well. After 8 to 10 minutes rice is almost cooked.

    Now drain the excess water and keep cooked rice aside.

    Now heat the ghee in a pan on low medium flame. Add cumin seeds, green chillies, cashews and stir.

    Then add chopped vegetables. (You can add your choice of vegetables) and salt. Stir well. Cover and cooked for 2 minutes.

    Remove the lid. Add cooked rice and mix all together well. Cover and steam for 2 minutes.

    Finally add chopped coriander. Pulao is ready. Serve it with raita or dal fry.
