Orange Peel pickle

We usually do not use orange peels but it tastes great in certain recipes like marmalade, candy or even pickle.
Orange peel pickle is really easy to prepare and it is so flavourful and delicious. It can be served with your meal or in breakfast with indian flat breads.

We usually do not use orange peels but it tastes great in certain recipes like marmalade, candy or even pickle.

Wash and dry oranges. Peel them. Remove pith (white layer) from the skin and chop into small pieces. Dry it in sun or under a fan for couple of hours.

Heat oil in a pan. Add whole spices and saute for a few seconds. Add fennel seeds and hing. Add turmeric and chilli powder. Mix well. Now add split mustard, split fenugreek and salt. Mix well and cook for a minute.

Add orange peel and vinegar. Mix well. Cook for a minute on medium heat and turn off the heat. Let it cool down completely before storing it in a glass jar. Add some more oil on top if you want and refrigerate.

Orange peel pickle can be served with main meal or in breakfast with Indian flatbreads.
