Steps

Preheat oven to 300°

Using a serrated knife, cut bread into bite-sized squares

Use a baking sheet covered in aluminum foil and place in oven.

Bake for ten minutes at a time. Pull out every ten minutes to rearrange bread pieces to ensure an even toast.

Bake until golden and crunchy (approximately one hour)

Allow toasted bread pieces to cool at room temperature.

Cut butter into small squares

Microwave butter until it is partially melted (approximately 30 seconds)

Whip butter into a pasty consistency.

Add remaining ingredients and mix well.

Add toasted bread pieces to buttery mixture and toss until every piece is evenly coated. (Discard any crumbs that are on the baking sheet, do not add this into the mix)

Place the coated bread pieces back onto the baking sheet and put it back into the oven.

Bake approximately 16 minutes until the buttery mix has soaked into the bread and dried out. (Check about every 4 minutes to rearrange the pieces to ensure an even bake)

Remove from oven and allow croutons to cool on baking sheet.

Transfer to a zip lock bag and enjoy with your next salad!
