Ingredients

  1. 1.5 kgcarrot
  2. 1/2lit full cream milk
  3. 250 gmMawa or khoya
  4. 3-4 tbspghee
  5. 1 cupsugar
  6. as required Few chopped almonds
  7. as required Few chopped pistachio
  8. as required Few chopped cashew nuts
  9. as required Few raisins
  10. 1 tspcardamom powder

Cooking Instructions

    Firstly wash the carrots and peel them. Now grate the carrots by using a chopper. Transfer them in a bowl.

    In a large deep thick bottom pan heat ghee. Fry all the chopped dry fruits and take it out from the pan.

    Put the grated carrots in the same ghee. Saute for 5 minutes on medium flame.

    Now add milk in carrot mixture. Cook for another 3-4 minutes on medium flame. Keep stirring. When the milk evaporates add sugar. Cook for 2-3 minutes.

    Now add Mawa dry fruits and green cardamom powder. Mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Then switch off the flame.

    In a serving bowl pour the halwa. Garnish with fried dry fruits and some ghee.
