Ingredients

  1. 1 bunchpalak leaves
  2. 1/2 cupmoong dal
  3. 20small onion
  4. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  5. 2 tspcumin powder
  6. 1 cupwater
  7. as per requirementSalt
  8. For tempering
  9. 5small onion finely chopped
  10. 1 tbspoil
  11. 1 tbspghee
  12. 1 tspmustard urad dal mix
  13. 3dry red chilli

    Firstly Wash the moong dal 2-3 times and soaked about 10 minutes. Now-wash the palak leaves keep aside. Then add soaked moong dal along with 3/4 cup water and add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder into the pressure cooker then close the lid and cook it for make 3 whistle.

    After 5 minutes open the pressure cooker now add palak leaves, chopped small onion, cumin powder, 1 cup water and salt. Close the lid and cook it for make 4 whistle. Turn off the flame.

    For tempering:
    Heat oil, ghee in a pan and add 1 tsp mustard urad dal mix sauté few minutes. Then add chopped onion, dry red chilli sauté until the onion turn golden color. Now pour the moong dal palak leaves mix and cook it few minutes.

    Moong dal palak leaves sabji is ready to serve with hot rice, chappathi etc.
