Turn the oven to 180°C. Spray your pan or silicone mold with Cook n Spray or with butter.

Mix the butter with a wooden spoon or electric mixer. Add the sugar slowly in.

Add in the vanilla extract and eggs and mix thoroughly. Add in the flour, baking powder, and salt. Mix in the milk.

Spoon the batter into the pan or silicone mold. Bake for 25 minutes. Take it out of the oven to cool down. Add the icing.
