Wrapped Pork with Cheese

I put together this recipe for my husband who loves cheese.
It's now our family favorite, since it's so easy and great with rice.
Also good to pack in bentos.
Also good without the shiso leaves! You could actually use any kind of cheese.
It's seasoned only with salt and pepper, so make sure to season well! For 2 servings. Recipe by Sattan mama

I wanted to make a surprisingly hearty dish using thinly sliced pork offcuts. My husband thought it was chicken the first time, and he was surprised, as I predicted.Since it's not a lump of meat, it's very tender, and even my 4 year old loved it and ate a big portion! If you use plastic wrap you can form the layered steak very easily.Make sure to fold in the sides so that the cheese won't come melting out while pan frying. Fried Pork with Cheese and Shiso Leaves Fried Pork with Cheese and Shiso Leaves
I wanted to make a hearty dish using ingredients available at home, so I fried it.Fry the meat at first in 320F/160C oil to cook through, take it out, and fry it again at 390F/200C until golden brown. This will make the meat crispy and taste nice.Using regular cheese instead of meltable cheese will not melt from the oil in the pan, and is easier to use. Recipe by Sayaty cookpad.japan -
