5-Minute Custard-like Cream

I tried making this a while back with some leftover milk coffee and it was delicious.
It will start boiling once the thickening process begins, so do not to let it burn.
Adjust the amount of sugar in relation to the sweetness of your milk base.
This time, I used 25 g of sugar. For 8 small cream buns' worth. Recipe by La Land

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Put all the ingredients into a pot and mix together. Heat over medium until it boils, stirring continuously.
- 2
Adjust the heat as necessary, cooking for 4-5 minutes until thickened. It will start to boil once the thickening process begins, so keep an eye on it.
- 3
When it starts bubbling and boiling, remove from the heat and pour into a shallow pan. Wrap with plastic and let cool. It's done!
- 4
If making cream buns, you can use the cream as it is at this stage. If making cream puffs, mix until it's thick to your preference.
- 5
I used it for this strawberry cream bread!
- 6
In place of milk and sugar, you can use 200 ml of milk with 60 ml of condensed milk for a milky cream! It's easy!

Microwave Custard Cream in 10 Minutes Microwave Custard Cream in 10 Minutes
I added my own twist to a recipe that came with my oven.Even if you have lumps in the cream, keep on whisking well and it will become smooth. Adding rum to the cream enhances the flavor, and it'll taste just as good as the store-bought kind. If serving to children, you could omit the rum! Once the cream is chilled, it will be firmer than shown in the photo (the consistency will be ideal for squeezing out with a pastry bag). During cooling if the surface of the cream becomes too dry, and a thick film will appear. So be sure to cover tightly with plastic wrap to prevent it from drying out.
