An easy peasy Peda made from minimum of ingredients and the star ingredient being the Cocoa powder is a treat on any given day for sure without any doubts.
Effortlessly done without much difficulty, it's absolutely a bliss. With Cocoa powder added it becomes even more cool and yummy. Bursting with Chocolaty flavours, it's a great option for a quick aftermeal Dessert on any day or on a weekend too when the whole family is together. It can be a great team work as well. Everyone can contribute and whip up this beautiful looking Mithai or Sweetmeat.
The best part is that it can be made and relished fresh whenever needed and since it has Mawa or Khoya in it, these Pedas can't be stored for a long time. As with every Milk products, these can stay afresh for 3-4 days at the maximum. That's it. Let's get started.

Steps
- 1
Heat a pan on a low with ghee or the clarified butter. Add the fresh mawa or khoya to it. Cook for about 3-4 minutes or until it's soft and supple. Now add the cocoa powder to it.
- 2
Mix well and add a little of cardamom powder too. Cook by stirring it continously until the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
- 3
Take it off the heat and stir in some powdered sugar and the chopped almonds. Mix well and shape into pedas using a peda mould or any other of your choice. I have used a measuring spoon of (1 tbsp) and have shaped them as in the images.
- 4
Serve immediately or can be served cold if desired. Hot and melt in mouth pedas are the best. And when it's chocolate, it's the bestest. Enjoy! Yum!
