Nutritious kala chana in yet another flavour of rich Ajwain, makes a perfect side dish for anything or can be a meal by itself as breakfast or evening snack.

Soak the chana overnight or 6 hours with sufficient water. Boil with pinch of salt for 2/3 whistles in pressure cooker, or until soft.

Heat oil, temper with ajwain seeds and chilli, followed by onion and curry leaves.

Add the boiled chana and all the dry spices: salt, turmeric powder & chilli powder.

Cook uncovered in medium flame for 4/5 minutes to get everything incorporated well.
