Here are the ingredients. Slice the daikon and carrot into thin half-moons. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

In a pot, add the dashi broth, sake, soy sauce, daikon, and carrot. Bring to a boil, then add the chicken. Skim off any foam or impurities that rise to the surface.

Once the ingredients are cooked through, reduce the heat to low. Add the sliced narutomaki and mochi, and simmer until the mochi becomes soft.

Ladle the soup into bowls and top with mitsuba cut into suitable lengths. Serve hot.
