Ingredients

  1. 20Irish potatoes
  2. 100 gWheat flour
  3. 1 pinchSalt
  4. 1 tspFood colour/tumeric
  5. 2 cupsWater
  6. Oil for deep frying

Cooking Instructions

    Wash potatoes thoroughly and boil till cooked but firm (not soggy)

    Let them cool, peel and cut into desired sizes.

    Using the flour, water, salt and food colour make light batter, dip the potato pieces into the batter till well coated and deep fry. Since the potatoes are already cooked don't leave them for too long in the oil to avoid burning.

    Drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.

    Serve with ukwaju, chilli source or kachumbari as per your preference.
