Cooking Instructions
- 1
Wash potatoes thoroughly and boil till cooked but firm (not soggy)
- 2
Let them cool, peel and cut into desired sizes.
- 3
Using the flour, water, salt and food colour make light batter, dip the potato pieces into the batter till well coated and deep fry. Since the potatoes are already cooked don't leave them for too long in the oil to avoid burning.
- 4
Drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
- 5
Serve with ukwaju, chilli source or kachumbari as per your preference.

Potato Galette Potato Galette
Potato galettes are typically made with potatoes that have a high starch content, but I came up with this recipe for using floury Japanese potatoes! The key is the katakuriko! Even with Irish cobbler potatoes, the galette will hold together nicely. It's important not to soak the potatoes after cutting them! They're also delicious without the nutmeg. Falafel Bhajia Falafel Bhajia
This is a fusion from the Med and India - via the Middle-East. Falafel & Bhajia are both seasoned with herbs then fried. They're actually very similar recipes already - with Bhajia using Gram Flour (or Besan). The raw mixture also doubles up great as Vegetarian burgers. So just shape into burgers shapes - cook straight in the oven and no frying will be needed! Ricky -

Motichoor Ladoos Motichoor Ladoos
#deepawaliThe wors 'motichoor' literally translates to crushed pearls. These are round-shaped sweetmeat made from fine, tiny balls of besan(chickpea flour), Commonly offered as prashad. The chickpea flour globules is fried in ghee or oil and soaked in sugar syrup. The sweet, pearl-like balls are then moulded into ladoos.Motichoor Ladoo is a favourite festive treat across Bangladesh. Admit it, once you start having it, you cannot just hold back at one. These ladoo were also easy to store in the torrid temperatures, and wouldn't go baad for days. Let's cook 😊. Bengali Spice 💚
