Start by chopping the veggies into small dices.

Dry roast the millet or you can also soak for 4 hours before cooking.

Now add ghee to a pan and turn on the flame. Add jeera.

Add hing and all the chopped veggies. Saute for 2 to 3 minutes and add water

Add the turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to water and let it come to a boil

Now add the foxtail millet, cover and boil until the millets are cooked well.

If the foxtail millet is a little older, it might not get cooked well, so take 2 or 3 whistles if happens so.

Serve the foxtail millet upma as a breakfast item or evening snack and enjoy ✨
