Steps

First of all wash all the lentils 2 to 3 times and soak for 2 hours in a room temperature water. Then remove excess water. Transfer the lentils to a mixer jar.Add salt,red chilli powder, cumin seeds and grind well,don't add water.

Transfer this mixture to a plate mix well and make balls (gole).

Now take the curd in a big bowl and make it smooth.Then add salt, sugar, besan,grated ginger and mix well add 2 bowls water.( This is for preparing kadhi.

Now in a pan add ghee,once heated, add cumin seeds once splutter add asafoetida, green chillies and curry leaves. Now add curd mixture. Keep the flame high and let it have a nice boil.

Once it starts boiling, add the lentil balls slowly and allow it to cook nicely.

For serving,take the balls in a plate and crush them with the help of spatula, add kadhi to it and tadka of red chilli separately prepared.
