Steps
- 1
Wash and soak daal in about 2 cups of water. Add chopped onions, ginger garlic paste, red chilli and turmeric powders. Also stir in chopped tomatoes, whole green chillies and the soaked and drained daal to a pressure cooker along with both the greens. Basically add all the ingredients listed except those under the tempering to the pressure cooker.
- 2
Pressure cook on a high heat for about 6-7 whistles or as required. Add enough water to facilitate better cooking. Set aside until the pressure settles down on it's own. Also add both the roughly chopped greens as well.
- 3
Allow it to simmer on a low heat. Cook until the raw smell fades away. Prepare the tempering with the ingredients listed under it's heading and add it to the cooked daal. That's it. It's all ready now. Enjoy!
