Steps

Wash the fish pieces discarding the intestines and scales. Coat with salt and set aside

In a wok heat ghee and add the fish pieces, retaining the white colour which is key to this recipe, fry and set aside

In the same ghee add whole garam masala and stir for 1 min, add onion paste and ginger paste and fry until you get an aroma and add vinegar

Add water and let it come to boil. Add the fishes carefully, cover to cook and stir in between

When the water dries up completely and ghee is surfacing on top, set aside to serve

Plate and enjoy
