I have left lobia beans after making lobia usal. So I made these vadas. It came out so delicious & crisp. You can prepare for tiffin or snack or side dish at lunch or dinner

I have left lobia beans after making lobia usal. So I made these vadas. It came out so delicious & crisp. You can prepare for tiffin or snack or side dish at lunch or dinner

Soak lobia overnight in sufficient amount of water.It should be soaked for 8-10 hours so that lobia turns soft.

Now in mixing grinder jar add lobia. Then add green chilies, ginger, garlic, salt. Make sure that you grind the batter coarsely. Make sure that the lobia is drained well and there is not much water. You need the batter to be quite dense.

Transfer ground mixture into a bowl. Add chopped coriander, chopped onion,and red chili powder.combine all ingredients well. Add 2 tsp besan to bind vada. But it is optional. Do not rest batter, make vada immediately.

Make balls from mixture. Flatten ball over palm & make thick round vada.

Heat oil enough. Drop vadas to fry. Fry from both sides until brown. Fry over highto medium flame.

Take out ready crispy vada into a plate. Serve crispy hot vada with tomato sauce or any green chutney of your choice.
