Made this stew for my brother and his friends for a hearty dinner and served it with some homemade cheddar garlic biscuits, let's just say there was no leftovers 😊

Wash and cut bigger pieces of meat into bite size pieces. Set aside. In a baggie or large bowl with lid add the flour, 1tsp. Garlic powder, and 1/4tsp. Black pepper. Stir to combine. Add meat cubes cover with lid and shake til meat is covered. Set aside.

In a large pot add the oil and on medium high heat. Cook meat in batches til halfway done, transferring to a bowl, adding more oil between batches if needed til all the meat is cooked. Set cooked meat aside. In same pot add the beer and scrape up any bits stuck to the bottom.

Add the cooked meat and water to the pot. Cover and let cook on a low simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Then add rest of ingredients and finish cooking on medium til vegetables and meat are tender and sauce has thickened, if sauce is still to runny make a slurry with some flour or cornstarch and water then stir it into the pot and cook and stir til sauce has thickened to desired consistency.

Turn off the heat and serve immediately while still hot. Serve with biscuits or any side dish of your choosing. Enjoy 😋
