My first time trying it and it turned out so well and yummy. You can try it too.
Steps
- 1
Cut the beef into even cubes or sizes.
- 2
If using wooden skewers you can soak them in water for 20minutes to avoid them getting burnt
- 3
In a bowl, mix oil, black pepper, salt, ground ginger, garlic and beef masala.
- 4
In the mixture above, add the beef cubes and mix them well until coated.
- 5
Cover and marinate for 1hour. (I did mine overnight, the best)
- 6
Thread your beef cubes into the skewers, alternating with onions and the red capsicum or any capsicum of your choice. Don't overcrowd, leave some space for even cooking.
- 7
Preheat your oven to 200degrees. Line a baking tray with a foil.
- 8
Place the skewers on the foil. Grill for 45minutes at medium temperature.
- 9
Cook till brown on the outside and tender inside
- 10
Let it rest after removing from the oven for 5minutes and it's ready.
- 11
Serve with Kachumbari. Pilipili ya kukaanga, fries/ugali.
Tips
Add spices of your choice.
Manage the oven temperature well
If you prefer jiko well and good
