Ingredients

2 servings
  • 2 cupsAll-purpose flour
  • 1 tspDry yeast
  • 3/4 cupWater
  • 1 tbspSugar
  • 1/2 tspSalt
  • 200 gPork (roughly chopped)
  • 1 tbspSoy sauce
  • 1 tspSesame oil
  • 2 tbspGreen onion (chopped)
  • 1 tspGinger (grated)

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix flour, dry yeast, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Add water and knead for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 1 hour).

  3. 3

    Tip: Gently press the dough with your finger—if the dent stays, it’s ready.

  4. 4

    Mix pork, soy sauce, sesame oil, green onion, and ginger for the filling.

  5. 5

    Divide dough into pieces, flatten, and fill with pork mixture. Seal well.

  6. 6

    Place buns on parchment paper and let rest for 15 minutes.

  7. 7

    Steam over high heat for 15 minutes until cooked through.

Ensure the filling is well-seasoned.
