Peel and cube potatoes.

allow potatoes to rest in cool water for a few minutes to allow the starch to rinse out, drain all the water off potatoes.

put potatoes in your pot and poor half & half over potatoes, do not completely cover potatoes,stop about an inch from the top of your potatoes.

add butter, salt and pepper to taste.

cook on medium heat with lid on til tender. Make sure to stir them every few minutes so they won't stick to the bottom.

mash and serve.
