This are a kind of cookies done only in 3 counties in all Spain and are done only during the Easter week and I thought everyone should try them.
If they come out rock-hard don't worry. They are supposed to be like that (that's because they are hung from the palms and otherwise they break at the first shske!)

Ingredients

1 hour 20 mins
60 servings
  1. 100 gramsfresh lard
  2. 250 gramswhite sugar
  3. 400all-purpose flour
  4. 50 mlwhole milk
  5. 2 largeeggs
  6. 1/2grated lemon peel
  7. 3 pinchcinnamon

Cooking Instructions

    Mix the lard and the sugar and then slowly add the eggs, the grated lemon peel and the cinnamon.

    Add the flour and milk. Knead until you have a compact dough though not compact enough to roll it.

    Let it rest for at least 30min in the fridge. Pre-heat oven at 180C.

    Roll it with a roller. It should be 1cm. (Put flour on the superfice you are going to roll it on. Put some more on the roller)

  5. 5

    Use cookie cutters and put them on a tray. If wanted paint with egg. Bake at 180C for around 20 min.
