Pan Seared Yellowfin Tuna

I was in the mood for fish tacos but decided to enjoy the same dinner that I was about to make for my wife who suffers from Celiac. The results were tremendous.

Ingredients

  1. 3Yellowfin Tuna steaks
  2. dashsesame oil
  3. 1 tbspolive oil, extra virgin
  4. sea salt
  5. fresh ground pepper
  6. 1 ozbalsamic vinegar
  7. 1 ozfresh lemon juice

Cooking Instructions

    Add tuna steaks to a hot cast iron skillet and sear for two minutes per side

  2. 2

    Once first side has been flipped, add lemon juice and balsamic vinegar to pan, continue to sear for two minutes, turn off heat and allow fish to rest for another two minutes

  3. 3

    Plate finished tuna on a bed of rice noodles topped with wilted spinach and bok choy - garnish with balsamic glaze (add more balsamic and agave nectar to pan & reduce if you don't already have balsamic glaze on hand) Enjoy!
