  12. 1 tbspcooking oil (I use sunflower oil)
  13. 1/2tin of white or red wine (using the tin from the tomatoes)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

this recipe is for people who are learning how to cook. this sauce is used in so many dishes. just knowing how to adapt it to your own preference will widen your cooking abilities

  2. 2

to use as a bolognese brown off mince in a pan before adding the onion and continue with the rest of the recipe

  3. 3

heat onion in a pan with oil and cook until clear. add garlic, tin tomatoes, tomato puree and wine, simmer to reduce the amount of liquid. stiring occasionally

  4. 4

add Worcester sauce, herbs, spinach, stock cube, sugar, salt and pepper. stir and simmer until the thickness of your liking

  5. 5

add tuna or sausages with pasta. top with bread crumbs and cheese then grill for pasta dish

  6. 6

if using mince serve with spaghetti, parmasan and garlic bread

  7. 7

blend until smooth, rip up basil into it and swirl in some double cream for soup

  8. 8

add courgettes, peppers or any of your favourite veg to make easy veggie pasta sauce (and change chicken stock for veg stock)

  9. 9

reduce until really thick, blend and spread over pizza base and top with cheese

  10. 10

the type of wine depends on your own personal preference. white gives it a nice crisp light sweet flavour where as red gives it a deep dark rich flavour. dont use wine you dont like (aka cooking wine) it wont be much better in your food
