Ingredients

8 servings
  • 2medium sized yellow onions
  • 4tomatoes
  • 2 clovesgarlic
  • 250 mlcoarse bulgur, washed
  • 1 tablespoontomato paste
  • 1/2 TSPground cumin
  • 1/2 TSPblack pepper
  • 1/2 TSPpaprika powder
  • 1/2 TSPsalt
  • 1/2 TSPcayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  • 1lemon juice
  • 500 mlwater
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Chopped fresh parsley
  • Chopped green onions

Steps

    Frustrated onions in olive oil for five minutes, the add the garlic.

  2. 2

    Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato paste.

  3. 3

    Add the bulgur after washing.

  4. 4

    Add the water. Add the spices.

  5. 5

    Let uncoved till a gentle boil, then cover for 15 minutes over low heat.

  6. 6

    Remove from heat covered for twenty minutes.

  7. 7

    Finally add chopped parsley, lemon juice and green onions. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese.
