Cooking Instructions

Start with the preparation of the marinate.

For the marinate mix the below items in a big bowl : Add the chicken , tomato puree , curd, Ginger & garlic paste, green chilly paste, cumin power, coriander powder, red chilly powder, peppers, 1 table spoon oil, some onions,turmeric powde, salt

Mix all the above ingredients properly and refregerate for 2 hours. .

heat the pressure cooker add oil and fry onions till golden brown

Add the marinated chicken. Allow the chicken to be cooked have covered in high flame.

cook for around 10 - 15 mins till the oil gets separated. ..

add rice, crushed cardamoms , saffron, water ( 1 n half cup ) . pressure cook the mixture till 2 whistles.

Once done, you can garnish with caramelised onions and sliced boiled eggs. ..

If you ask me whats one comfort food that i wont hesitate to eat anyday.. This surely is the one. I mean, C'mon, who doesn't like Biriyani?? A complete meal in itself, has all the aroma that i possibly can imagine.. Just a tempered Raita of your choice, and it's sorted. This has to be my #favourite dish of all.I still remember the day,I made Biriyani for the first time. Gosh, so much nerves I had, I must say .With all those list of ingredients, And num of steps, trick to get the rice "right", Fhewwww...But, I can happily say, I DID IT. Yes, it was a success and since then there was no looking back. Once in a fortnight, I have to make biriyani. That's the demand of my Man, you know.There are various methods of making biriyani..
