Hence it is consumed during fasts.The preparation of halwa is very quick and easy .Gulkand is commonly used as a ingredient of Paan. Ingredients

  1. 250 grmsgrated bottle ground:
  2. 2 cupsmilk
  3. 1 cupmalai
  4. , 2 tbsp gur
  5. , 2 tbsp ghee
  6. 20 grms. Sunflowers seeds:
  7. 10 gmsmelon seeds
  8. 30 gmsgulkand
  9. 5 ml rose syrup
  10. as neededFew kesar strands soaked in warm water

Steps

  1. 1

    Peel, wash and grate lauki.

  2. 2

    In a pressure cooker put milk and lauki together.

  3. 3

    Give 3 whistles.

  4. 4

    Allow it to cool.

  5. 5

    Check if milk is still their.

  6. 6

    Add malai.

  7. 7

    Keep on slow flame.

  8. 8

    Go on stirring,till milk dries up.

  9. 9

    Add Gulkand,elachi powder, gur, ghee and mix well.

  10. 10

    Mix till gur melts completely

  11. 11

    Add rose syrup.

  12. 12

    Mix properly and adjust the taste.

  13. 13

    Pour the mixture on a greased tray.

  14. 14

    Garnish with sunflower /melon seeds.
