Ingredients

  • Vegetables
  • 16 cupsmall pickling cucumbers sliced thin
  • 6onions peeled and sliced
  • 2Red peppers chopped
  • 1/3 cupcoarse salt
  • Sauce
  • 3 cupvinegar
  • 5 cupWhite sugar
  • 1 1/2 tspturmeric
  • 1 tspcelery seed
  • 1 tspmustard seed

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix vegetables together with salt.

  2. 2

    Cover with ice and refrigerate for 3 hours.

  3. 3

    Combine dry ingredients in pot.

  4. 4

    Add vinegar.

  5. 5

    Bring mixture to a boil.

  6. 6

    Add drained vegetables.

  7. 7

    Bring to a boil.

  8. 8

    Add to hot mason jars and seal.
