48 servings
  1. 1 cupButter
  2. 1 cupGranulated sugar
  3. 1/2 cupPacked dark brown sugar
  4. 1 tspVanilla extract
  5. 2 eachEggs
  6. 1 tspSalt
  7. 1 tspBaking soda
  8. 12 ozChocolate chips
  9. 2 1/4 cupAll purpose flour
  10. 1 tbspUnsweetened powder baking cocoa

Cooking Instructions

2 hours
  1. 1

    Cream butter

  2. 2

Add both brown and granulated sugar, and mix well

  3. 3

Incorporate vanilla and eggs into butter/sugar mixture.

  4. 4

In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  5. 5

Slowly add the flour mixture until it is fully incorporated into the butter mixture.

  6. 6

Once the flour has been mixed in add the cocoa powder. You might be able to add it with the dry ingredients. I added it to add a little more color and to add a roast/bitterness to the cookies.

  7. 7

    Mix in the chocolate chips.

  8. 8

Bake at 375 for around 8 min. Check in on the cookies at about 6-7 minutes.
