Ingredients

  • 1 packagesTofu (medium to hard)– sliced
  • 150 gramsBeef - chunk or stewing beef – thinly sliced
  • 1 mediumleek – washed and sliced
  • 1Onion – cut into chunks
  • 2Green onions – Finley sliced for garnish
  • 1Konnyaku noodles
  • 6 tbspSoy sauce
  • 2 tbspMaple syrup
  • 1/2 packagesFish powder
  • 1 cupWater
  • 1 cupTinfoil (big enough to cover inside of pot) with small hole in center

Steps

30 mins
  1. 1

    Add water, soy sauce, maple syrup, fish powder and pinch of salt to a pot and bring to a boil on stove over high heat.

  2. 2

    Turn heat down to medium and add onions, tofu, leaks and noodles

    Place tinfoil inside pot, directly onto stew (so that that contents cannot move around and fall apart)

    simmer for approximately 10 to 15 minutes

  7. 7

    Turn heat off, at least covered for an additional five minutes (to let favor to come out)

  8. 8

    at beef to stew and serve with green onions
