Urad dal tadka dhaba style

Wash and soak urad dal for at least 20 minutes. After soaking drain the water

Put the dal with 2 cups of water in the pressure cooker. Add salt, turmeric.

After 1 whistle close the gas.

Turn off the heat and wait until all the steam is released. If needed add more water.

Heat ghee in a small pan add the chopped garlic, onion and jeera. Stir for a few minutes also add tomato and ginger paste.

Now add chilli powder, garam masala, coriander powder. Add in pressure cooked dal and mix well.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Tadka urad dal is ready serve with roti or paratha, or with plain rice.
