This is my personal favourite. Specially, when the aroma of roasted methi leaves embraces my kitchen, it gives me sheer satisfaction. So this Friday, at our place, we kick started our foodie selves with flavourful methi ke parathe.
Methi Paratha
This is my personal favourite. Specially, when the aroma of roasted methi leaves embraces my kitchen, it gives me sheer satisfaction. So this Friday, at our place, we kick started our foodie selves with flavourful methi ke parathe.
Steps
- 1
Get the methi leaves ready for the dough. Pluck leaves from the stems. Make sure that there's hardly any stem in the leaves that you separate. Wash the leaves thoroughly, chop them and set them aside.
- 2
Add the spices to the whole wheat flour. Put the mentioned amount of oil and mix them well.
- 3
Add methi leaves and give it a good mix again.
- 4
Now knead soft dough for methi parathas. Grease it with oil and rest it for half an hour.
- 5
Now take desired sized dough. Roll it into thin paratha using rolling pin and roast it on tawa with a little amount of oil.
- 6
Serve the aromat and wholesome parathas with raita or desired chutney and of course not to forget your hot adrak wali chai.
