Collect the ingredients.We can use instant oats,rolled oats.I’ve used masala oats because it’s flavour increases the taste.

Cook dal till smooth in a pressure cooker or in a pot.

Strain the water.

Mash with blender.

Add more water and bring it to a boil. Add oats and cook until soft.
Add sambar powder and tamarind juice or paste.Boil for 3-4 minutes.If we use bisi bele bath powder then it adds the more flavour. - 6
Make the seasoning by heating ghee in a pan.
Add red chilli, cumin and mustard when they crackle, add and hing. - 7
Fry the veggies in this seasoning for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour water good enough to cook them until soft.

Dry roast or fry cashews nuts.

When vegetables get soft and oats completely cooked, add the seasoning to the cooked oats.
Stir and simmer for a while.Add cashews. - 10
Transfer to a serving dish.Garnish according to your taste.

Serve oats bisi bele bath hot.
