Steps

Wash and marinate the fish with salt and turmeric powder

Add oil in a wok and heat well

Fry the fish well till it becomes golden and keep aside

Now add the jeera seeds bay leaf and dry red chilli to temper

Add chopped onion saute adding salt and turmeric powder

Add ginger garlic paste and saute well till the raw smell goes

Add the jeera dhaniya powder and keep stirring

Now add the tomato puree and red chilli Powder mix well

As the raw smell of tomato disappears add cashew raisins paste saute well

Now add water and allow it to boil

Add the fish and cover for a while to get the fish softer a bit

Add sugar(optional),garam masala powder and ghee

Garnish it with slitted green chilli and coriander leaves

Serve it with plain rice or pulav
