Ingredients

Serves 4 servings
  • 2 cupsMaseca corn flour for tortillas (about 240 grams)
  • 1 1/3 cupswarm water (about 315 ml)
  • 8.8 ozfava beans (250 grams)
  • 1/2onion
  • 3 clovesgarlic
  • Salt, to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    Soak the fava beans overnight.

  2. 2

    Boil the fava beans with enough water, garlic, and onion until they are soft.

  3. 3

    Mash the fava beans together with the garlic and onion, being careful not to over-mash.

    Prepare the dough.

    Mix the dough with the mashed fava beans.
