  • Cat fish
  • Pepper soup spice
  • Crayfish
  • leafScent
  • Maggi
  • Salt
  • Calabash nutmeg seed
  • Onions
  • Cameroun pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash catfish by pouring hot water on it to remove the slime.do not use alum as this reduces the natural nd sweet taste of the fish.hot water will do.set aside

  2. 2

    Roast calabash nutmeg by putting in a dry pot,put on cooler and turn continually till the back is roasted. Peel and blend using mortar or blender.roast calabash nutmeg gives a nutty taste.

  3. 3

    Cut yam Into medium cubes,wash and cook but not too tender.set aside.

  4. 4

    Put washed cat fish in pot,add sliced onions,maggi and salt and cook for 5-7mins.

  5. 5

    Add the cooked yam to the pot of dat fish,add the pepper soup spice, crayfish,calabash nutmeg, taste for salt,cameroun pepper allow to cook for another 3-5 mins.

  6. 6

    Taste for pepper,salt and spice them add the shredded scent leaf.cook for few seconds and food is ready.

  7. 7

    NB:debt over turn the soup to prevent the fish breaking Into pieces.

  8. 8

    Can be served with eko or rice if not using yam.
