Ingredients

Serves 6 people
  • 1 poundground beef
  • 2/3 cupbreadcrumbs
  • 1/3 cupshredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2/3 cupcold water
  • 3eggs
  • to tasteParsley
  • to tasteSalt
  • to tastePepper
  • to tasteGarlic powder
  • Sauce
  • 1onion
  • 3 clovesgarlic chopped
  • to tasteParsley
  • to tasteOregano
  • to tasteBasil
  • 3 cancrushed tomatoes (32 oz)
  • 6Italian Sausage links (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Sauté chopped onions and garlic for sauce

  2. 2

    Add spices to sauce, sauté one minute

  3. 3

    Add crushed tomato. Stir and bring to a boil. Turn down heat and simmer

  4. 4

    Combine all meatball ingredients with hands in a large bowl.

  5. 5

    Form into meatballs and drop into sauce, uncooked

  6. 6

    Add sausage (optional) to sauce

  7. 7

    Summer for at least 1 hour. For longer simmers, stir occasionally to prevent burning

  8. 8

    Serve over pasta with shredded Parmesan
