Flank Steak & Broccoli Stir-Fry

This is a great recipe to prep ahead of time for freezer meals. The recipe can be doubled and ingredients frozen for a quick mid week meal.

Mix baking soda, 1 1/2 tsp sugar, cornstarch, 1 tbsp soy-sauce, and 2 tbsp olive oil together. Cover thinly sliced flank steak with mixture and marinate overnight.

Combine remaining soy-sauce, sugar, garlic, pepper, and flour in a bowl and set aside.

Heat a large pan over high heat. Add 2 tbsp olive oil and chopped up broccoli (stems included). Lightly fry for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.

Move cooked broccoli onto a plate and add the remaining 2 tbsp of olive oil to the pan. Turn down heat to medium high and carefully add the marinated flank steak. Pour in half of the sauce mixture and sauté beef for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally.

Add broccoli back into the pan and pour in the remaining sauce. Mix and simmer on low heat for 5 minutes.

Top with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
