Ingredients

  1. 2 cupsflour
  2. 1 tspsalt
  3. 1 tspyeast
  4. 1 tspcardamon
  5. 1 tspcinnamon
  6. 1 tspnutmeg
  7. Warm water
  8. For Syrup:
  9. 1/2 cupsugar
  10. 1 tbsplemon juice
  11. 1 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all the 1st 6 ingredients in a big bowl, slowly add in warm water while stirring to form a thick smooth paste. Cover with a clean towel or cling fling for 1 hr or until it doubles in size.

    Meanwhile you can a sugar syrup by combining water and sugar and placing it on medium heat, bring to boil while stirring until it becomes sticky. Add in the lemon juice..remove from heat and let it cool.

    After the paste has doubled in size, place cooking oil on medium heat for like 5 minutes,.stir your paste, scoop with an icecream scoop or your hand and drop in the hot cooking oil to form balls. Turn them until golden brown, remove from the oil, drain and drop them in the sugar syrup..stir and cover them generously with sugar syrup.
