Mix red chilli, salt and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker with daal. Add 2 cup water and boil daal till 4 whistles in mid flame.

Take oil in kadhai and heat it. And add cumin seeds. When cumin seeds flutter, add onion and tomato and saute till onion becomes golden brown. Add coriander powder, garam masala.

Add boiled daal in the mixture and stir well for 2 minutes.
