Ingredients

4 persons
  • 125 gmsSprouted moth/matki
  • 1/2Finely chopped onion
  • 1finely chopped tomato
  • 1Onion &
  • 6-7 garlic pods
  • 1 inch ginger paste
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbspcoriander powder
  • 1 tspjeera powder
  • 1 tspGaram masala
  • 1 tspTurmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Red chilli powder
  • 1 pinchAsefoetida/ hing
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1 tspSugar
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Steps

  1. 1

    Take oil in pressure cooker add Mustard seeds and cumin seeds and let it splutter then add asefoetida

  2. 2

    Add onion,ginger, garlic paste and saute well,add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and sugar.saute till oil oozes out.

  3. 3

    Then add finely chopped onions and saute for 5 mins.add chopped tomatoes and garam masala/ misal masla (easily available) and saute. Oil will ooze out. Add sprouted moth and water and then salt.mix well and let it cook till 1 whistle.

  4. 4

    Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.

Frying ginger garlic paste before onions made my pas crud on the bottom. Couldn't fry onions well
