Ingredients

30 mins
4 servings
  • Forhandvo:-To be mixed together
  • 1 cupparboiled green moong sprout's and coarsely grind
  • 1/2 cupsweet corn boiled and crushed
  • 1/2 cupboiled and mashed potatoes
  • 3/4 cupchopped & boiled mix vegetables
  • as needed(French beans, cauliflower, carrots, green peas)
  • 1/2 cupcooked rice sightly mashed
  • 1/4 cupsemolina/rawa
  • 1 tbspbesan
  • 2 tsplemon juice
  • 1/4 cupfinely chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tspfinely chopped green chillies
  • 1 tspsugar
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/4 cupblanched palak puree
  • Otheringredients:
  • 1 tbspOil
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 2 tspsesame seeds
  • 1 pinchasafoetida/hing

Steps

  1. 1

    Firstly in big bowl combine all the ingridents for handvo and mix well.

    Heat the oil in a non stick pan add the mustard seeds when the seeds crackle add the sesame seeds and hing saute for a few seconds.

    Pour batter on over tadka evenly to make a thick layer and spread evenly.

    Cover and cook on a slow flame for 7-8 minutes or till the base turns golden brown in colour and crisp.

  5. 5

    Lift it gently using two large flat spoons and turn it over to the other side.

  6. 6

    Cover and cool on a slow flame for another for 5-7 minutes.

    Slightly cool and unmould the handvo and serve with pickle, curd and tea.
