Ingredients

  • 1 bowlSooji / semolina
  • 1/2 bowlBesan / gram flour
  • 1/2 bowlCurd
  • 1 choppedOnion
  • 1 gratedPotatoes
  • 1/2 bowl gratedCarrot
  • 1 choppedTomatoes
  • 1/2 bowl choppedCapsicum
  • 2 choppedGreen chillies
  • leavesCoriander
  • to tasteSalt
  • 1/2 tspRed chilli powder
  • 1/2 tspTurmeric powder
  • 1 tspmustard seeds
  • 1/2 tspGaram masala
  • 1 springcurry leaves
  • a pinchhing / asafoetida
  • 1/2 tspBaking soda

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix everything except baking soda and keep aside for 15 to 20 min.

    After that add baking soda and make idlis.

    Then take a wok. Add oil. Heat. Add mustard, hing til, slit green chillies and curry leaves. Now put idlis in wok. Saute for 2 to 3 min.
