Chena Podo Pitha is one of the most famous recipe in Odisha. This dessert is also one of the 56 (chapan) bhogs in Lord Jagannath Temple. Today I have prepared this tasty and mouth watering dish which is a must try for all.

Take fresh chena in a bowl and add semolina, sugar and mix lightly, this will help the semolina to absorb water from chena.

In the mean time pre heat the oven at 180'c for 10 minutes. Now start kneading chena using your hand, I have kneaded the chena for about 8 minutes to make smooth paste until sugar is dissolve completely, then add cardamom powder, milk so as to make a semi thick mixture like a cake mixture.

Take a baking tin grease it with ghee then place the cashew nuts and raisins, then pour the mixture in tin and bake it at 180'c for 35 minutes. Take the tin out of the oven and then using a knife open the sides of the podo from the tin and then flip it upside down and then remove the tin. Now serve hot or chilled.
