Ingredients

  1. 6medium sized potatoes
  2. 6-10curry leaves
  3. 1/2 tsprai
  4. 1 tbspred chilli paste
  5. 1 tbspkokum paste
  6. 1 tspzeera powder
  7. 1 tspimli pulp
  8. 2-3 tbspOil
  9. To tasteSalt
  10. 1/2 cup water
  11. 1 pinchred food colour (optional)

Cooking Instructions

    Boil the potatoes in the pressure cooker. Cool them completely and then peel and chop them into roughly 4 piece of each potato.

    Heat oil. Add Rai and curry leave and let them splutter. Now add the red chilli paste, kokum paste and zeera powder. Saute for few minutes. Add imli pulp and a little water. Cook the masala for 1 or 2 minutes.

    Add the potatoes and salt. Mix well. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes stirring continuously so the potatoes are well coated with the masala. Yummy chatpatay aloo are ready to enjoy!!
