Ingredients

  • 1 kgchicken drumsticks (or your choice of piece)
  • 1 tspsalt
  • 1 tsppepper (I like to put lil more)plus 1tsp while cooking
  • 1 1/2chilli powder
  • 2onions
  • 1 tspGaram masala
  • 1 tsplemon and lime juice
  • 1/4turmeric powder
  • Rice or roti to serve with
  • 1cinnamon stick
  • 1 tspGochujang (red chilli paste) (Korean) (optional though I like the taste of it)

Steps

  1. 1

    Marinate the chicken in salt, pepper and lemon n lime juice. Keep in fridge for an hour or so

  2. 2

    Chop the onions and sauté them till they are golden with cinnamon stick

  3. 3

    Add chilli powder, pepper, gochujang and garam masala. Add lil water while doing this.

  4. 4

    Add the chicken and mix well. Add water in case needed or if you want lil sauce. Keep on medium flame until it’s cooked

  5. 5

    Serve warm with rice or roti

  6. 6
