Ingredients

  1. for gravy:
  2. 3 tbspoil
  3. 2 tbspghee
  4. 2dry red chillies
  5. 1 inchginger chopped
  6. 4-5garlic cloves sliced
  7. 8-10cahews
  8. 1 tbspchopped carrots
  9. 2 tbspchopped cabbage
  10. 3onions sliced
  11. 2green cardamoms
  12. 3/4 cuptomato puree
  13. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  14. to tastesalt
  15. 1 tspkitchen king masala
  16. 1 tspcoriander powder
  17. 1 tspkasuri methi
  18. 1/2 tspsugar
  19. as neededwater
  20. to saute paneer:
  21. 1 tspoil
  22. 200 gramscubed cottage cheese
  23. 1 pinchkitchen king masala
  24. to tastesalt
  25. 1 pinchred chilli powder
  26. 1 pinchkasuri methi
  27. 1 pinchgaram masala powder

Cooking Instructions

30 minutes
  1. 1

    Heat 1 tbsp oil in a kadai

  2. 2

    Add red chillies, sliced ginger, garlic, cashews and saute for a few seconds.

    Add carrots, cabbage and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame

  4. 4

    Add onions and saute until golden brown, allow it to cool

  5. 5

    Transfer this mixture to a mixture jar and grind into a smooth paste

  6. 6

    Heat 2 tbsp oil and ghee in a kadai

  7. 7

    Add cardamoms, prepared paste and saute for 2-3 minutes on medium flame

  8. 8

    Pour tomato puree and cook until oil separates

  9. 9

    Add salt, red chilli powder, kitchen king masala, coriander powder and kasuri methi, mix well

  10. 10

    Add sugar, cream and mix well

  11. 11

    Pour water as required and simmer for 2-3 minutes

  12. 12

    Gravy is ready, take off heat and keep aside

  13. 13

    In a pan heat 1 tsp oil

  14. 14

    Add paneer, salt, kitchn king masala, red chilli powder, kasuri methi, garam masala powder and saute for a minute

  15. 15

    Reheat the gravy, add fried paneer and some water

  16. 16

    Cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame

  17. 17

    Balti paneer is ready, serve hot
